Personal details

Full name: My name is Fania, Flouria Fanistra and everyone calls me Fania, and that is my first name.

So in our culture they usually give a girl child her grandmother’s name, they call me Mosule, that is my father’s mother’s name.

I was born on 21 March 1985 in Namibia in a village called Omega. I am the first born of my parents’ three children. We came to South Africa with my parents in the year 1990 and grew up here in SA.

Education

I started my education in 1993 in a tent town called Schmidtdrift, and then they called the school we went to Schmidtdrift Combined School and when we moved to Platfontein in the year 2003 they changed the name of the school to !Xunkhwesa Combine School.

I matriculated from this school in 2004. I did not study further due to the financial problem at home.

Work experience

After matriculating in the year 2004, I started helping out at the church as an administrator in the year 2005.

In 2006, I started working at SABC Radio X-K fm as an on-air presenter for the youth program from 2006 to 2011.

Shortly after that, I presented the women’s program and now I present the breakfast program, which is my current program. I really enjoy my breakfast program now.

After 20 years of broadcasting, I have learned a lot and want to improve my on-air communication skills.
