Reinhart Lenuch Kampunda
Profile Reinhardt Kampunda
Personal details — Full Name (s): Lenuch Reinhardt. Surname: Kampunda I was named after my father’s colleagues the white man. The names were actually three with the third one Neal, but Reinhardt prepared to use two, the L and R two’s and the third one (Neal) was not registered on the data base. At home I brags as Yeye with my Christian name. During my school years my school mates used to call me Ice simple because I was shy and a quite boy in the classroom. As I was growing up the name changed to Cooler Bee and some time I uses the name Ice Cooler Bee to my current occupation as radio presenter. And Yeye is a father of two beautiful babies a boy and a little girl.
Childhood — Yeye was born in the then South West Africa, now knowing as Namibia in a Military base at Omega in the Western Caprivi Region of Namibia. Yeye is the fourth of his family of six children’s and sadly all three of his siblings before him had passed away and now I am with my two little sisters.
Education — Ice as he I am knowing to my school mates, started my schooling in 1991 at Schmditsdrift and completed my school/matriculated at the same school in the year 2003. I got the courage from my parents to attend school as school was the key to success. Although I completed my education in 2003, I didn’t get any change to further my study, as I was financially not sustainable. After the completion of my grade 12, I had to take a gap year and was just at home with my family.
Other Studies — In 2005 I did short course in leadership knowledge training and later had also attended short course in Geological studies and holds certificates into both short courses which I attended.
Employment History — I was unemployed when I started working at SABC Radio X-K fm as a Khwe-dam Youth Programme presenter. And up to now I am still doing the programme for the past 10 years. “It is my pleasure to meet young people through radio and to give them necessary information’s on various issues in life”, when once asked how does it feels to work with my generations? I enjoys doing what I am doing now, further enjoys every moment when I am on air.
Further — During the ten years I has climb every step to grow not only as a radio presenter but also as person. Learn is a long journey, no one is too old to learn new things, therefore I am looking forward to learn to further my knowledge. I would like to learn linguistic Communications to gain more experience and to get opportunity to work one day into big commercial radio stations or to work as radio & TV newsreaders.
